Review of the Summer Night Festival at the Arx Inn

Great atmosphere and glorious summer weather: positive conclusion to the summer night festival at Gasthof von Arx Egerkingen.
What does it take to throw a great party? A large tent, a cocktail bar, the party band “The Coconuts,” simple yet delicious food, and lots of cheerful guests. All these elements came together perfectly on Saturday evening, August 16, at the Gasthof von Arx in Egerkingen. Peter Felber and his well-coordinated team once again demonstrated their culinary skills and were visibly pleased with the evening. Even the weather gods were kind, despite a brief thunderstorm later in the evening. The celebration was a big hit with the Neuendorf Gymnastics Club, whose members turned out in full force and high spirits.
The Summer Night Festival is also the first local event held under the patronage of Egerkingen Tourism. The association has decided to co-fund and market seasonal events held four times a year—alternating among the four hotels—under the motto “4 Seasons,” as President Christian Wyler explained in his brief speech. This is one of several measures planned by the tourism organization to boost the appeal of the village with the highest number of overnight stays in the canton.
