3.5 How long do we retain your data?

We store personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfill the specific purposes for which the data was collected.

Data that we collect when you visit our website is retained for twelve months. An exception applies to analytics and tracking data, which may be retained for a longer period.

We retain contract data for a longer period because we are required to do so by law. In particular, we must retain business correspondence, executed contracts, and booking documents for up to 10 years. 4.1 Hosting the Website and Creating Log Files

What information do we collect, and how do we use it?

Why are we allowed to process this data?

How can you prevent data collection?

4.3 Google Tag Manager

To manage website tags via a user interface, we use Google Tag Manager, a service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). Google Tag Manager itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-free domain and does not process any personal data. The service triggers other tags, which may in turn collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been performed at the domain or cookie level, it remains in effect for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.

Through the use of Google Tag Manager, scripts (known as “tags”) can be automatically activated on our website, and data can be transmitted from your browser to Google. This data may include information about your IP address, the browser you are using, the subpages of our website you visit, and other interactions during your visit to our website.

4.4 Google Ads

We use Google Ads on our website, an online advertising service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter “Google”). Google Ads enables us to place ads in Google search results and on the Google Display Network.

4.5 Google Ads Conversion Tracking

We use the online advertising program “Google Ads” on our website, including conversion tracking (visitor action analysis). Google Ads conversion tracking is an analytics service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”).

When you click on an ad served by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is placed on your device. These cookies have a limited validity period, do not contain any personal data, and therefore cannot be used to identify you personally. If you visit certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to that page.

The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics. This allows us to determine the total number of users who clicked on one of our ads and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

You can prevent cookies from being stored by adjusting the relevant technical settings in your browser software. 4.6 WordPress

Our website is based on the WordPress platform, a content management system developed by Automattic Inc., 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA. WordPress enables us to create, manage, and publish content.

When you use our WordPress-based website, various types of data—including your IP address, the date and time of your visit, and information about the browser you are using—may be collected and stored. This data is used primarily for administrative purposes and to ensure the smooth operation of the website.

Some WordPress features, such as comments or contact forms, may collect additional personal data when you use them.

4.7 Weglot Translation Tool

On our website, we use the Weglot plugin from Weglot SAS, 7 Cité Paradis, 75010 Paris, France, to provide our content in various languages. 

Type of data:

To display the desired translation and save the user's language selection, technical data such as the IP address and browser information is transmitted to Weglot. Weglot also stores the source and target texts of your website on its servers.

Purpose of the processing:

This information is used to ensure the accessibility and international orientation of our website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

Retention Period & Cookies:

Weglot uses technically necessary cookies to retain your selected language during your visit. This data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected.

Transfer to a third country:

Since Weglot is headquartered in France (EU), data processing is carried out in accordance with EU data protection standards (GDPR).

4.8 OpenStreetMap (Two-Click Solution)

We use map data from OpenStreetMap (OSMF) on our website. To protect your privacy, the map is initially disabled. No data is exchanged with the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF) servers when you visit the page.

How it works:

A connection to the OpenStreetMap servers is established only when you actively load the map by clicking on the preview image or enable it in your cookie settings. For technical reasons, your IP address is transmitted during this process so that the map can be displayed in your browser. In addition, data regarding your use of the map features (e.g., clicks) may be collected.

Legal basis:

Data processing is based on your explicit consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, which you provide by clicking on the map.
