🎭 Egerkingen Carnival
🎭 Egerkingen Carnival
When even the Böögg says, “Now things are really heating up!” 🔥
In Egerkingen, everyone knows: There are four seasons—and then comes Fasnacht.
And in 2027, people will once again be swaying, wearing makeup, belting out songs, and smiling to their hearts’ content—as long as the confetti lasts.
📅 Carnival Week 2027:
Thursday, February 4, 2027 – Tuesday, February 9, 2027
(Ash Wednesday: February 10, 2027 – then it’s back to being serious… maybe.)
🎺 What to Expect (or: Why You'll Be Hoarse Afterward)
🥁 Carnival Parade – The Village Goes Wild
Colorful floats, quirky yet beautiful Guggenmusik, kids with confetti in their hair, and adults who suddenly feel like they’re 12 again.
When the trumpets blare and the bass drum vibrates right down to your diaphragm, you know: Egerkingen is in a state of emergency.
👉 Tip from experience:
Don't stand right next to the loudest Gugge. Or maybe you should. It depends on how much you like your mother-in-law.
🎭 Chräieball – Masked, motivated, minimally supervised
The legendary masquerade ball at the Mühlematt.
Here you can see CEOs dressed as pirates, bankers as clowns, and at least one person who claims their costume is “ironic.”
💃 Dance until late at night
🎶 Guggen, DJ, party
🍻 The vibe? Let's just say: The next morning, you'll know why aspirin was invented.
🍺 Beizenfasnacht – When the Village Becomes a Stage
In the restaurants and bars, people are laughing, singing, and speculating about who’s actually behind which mask.
By the third drink at the latest, everyone’s on a first-name basis—even if they’ve actually known each other for 20 years.
👵 Seniors' Carnival – The Real Pros
The older generation shows us how to really celebrate Fasnacht.
With charm, experience—and amazing stamina.
Anyone who thinks the young people party longer has never been here.

🤡 Why You Have to Experience Carnival in Egerkingen
- Because this isn't a place to play—it's a place to party.
- Because live Guggenmusik is simply the best.
- Because even the quietest neighbor might suddenly start throwing confetti.
- Because tradition and partying go hand in hand here.
And let's be honest:
When else can you walk through town dressed as a banana and be celebrated for it?
