Hiking

Panoramic view of the Mittelland from the Jura Heights Tour

The first Jura Trail begins on the outskirts of the village—from the Poesieweg trail, via the Jakobsleiter, to the Jurahöhen-Tour.

Egerkingen lies at the southern foot of the first Jura range—and thus right in the heart of one of the most diverse hiking areas in the Swiss Plateau. From the village square, scenic overlooks, rock formations, forest trails, and picnic areas are all within a short walking distance. Those who want to go further can set out from here on multi-day hikes through the Jura.
