The Circular Hike in the Solothurn and Basel-Landschaft Jura
The ViaSurprise corresponds to Regional Route No. 32 of Swiss Hiking Trails and is divided into six day-long stages. Each stage destination can be used as a starting point or a destination, including Egerkingen with its hotels and B&Bs.
From Egerkingen, you can take the Jakobsleiter trail via Santelhöhe to Holderbank or Langenbruck, where you can join the ViaSurprise trail.
Along the way, you’ll discover surprising sights and exciting stories. In addition, hikers from nearby towns are guided to the ViaSurprise via shuttle routes.
There are audio stations at 23 points of interest, each offering an audio experience lasting about three minutes. These audio files can be downloaded to your cell phone via a QR code.
