Region Olten Tourism has launched the Olten, Gösgen, Gäu, Aarburg Experience Card, a new marketing tool that offers significant added value for all parties involved. The card features over 150 attractions across cantons, presented in a visually appealing and informative manner.
Development as an NRP Project
The Experience Card was developed as part of the New Regional Policy (NRP) of the federal government and the canton. A service agreement was concluded with the Solothurn Canton’s economic development agency, stipulating that defined objectives must be met through impact measurement. Among other things, numerous points within two areas of action must be addressed. In this case, these are “Developing and promoting innovative tourism offerings” and “Optimizing structures and collaborations.”
Extension of the Length of Stay
The Experience Card, as the most important communication tool, is intended to help extend guests’ length of stay. In terms of developing new offerings, the region has seen a great deal of innovation over the past 10 years. Now, this message must be conveyed to guests in a simple and clear way, providing them with reasons to stay at least one night.
There's much more to it than meets the eye
The Experience Map is available inprintand asa digital, interactive version. For the first time, this makes it possible to present the Olten, Gösgen, Gäu, and Aarburg region as a single tourist destination, thereby communicating its extremely wide range of offerings in a very simple way. This provides considerable added value for visitors, local residents, (potential) new residents, and all partners in tourism, commerce, industry, and politics. The map features over 150 attractions that meet defined quality criteria and can thus contribute to an unforgettable short stay.
