We begin our hike from the central village parking lot in Hägendorf—or, alternatively, from Egerkingen via Santelstrasse—through the wild and romantic Tüfelsschlucht gorge, which leads up to Allerheiligenberg. On the far side of the mountain, we descend to Bärenwil and hike back to Hägendorf via Santelhöchi and, if desired, the Höchiflue and Jakobsleiter detours.
